Their son James Eleazer Zumwalt married Mabel Ford.(grandparents) Their son Elmo Russel Zumwalt married Francis P. Frank (parents of Admiral Zumwalt) "Google" the name Lydia Angelina DeWitt and web pages where you might find family. There is a Zumwalt Park in Tulare, Tulare Co. CA A gedcom for Allen Wakefield DeWitt on Ancestry has a reference to a DeWitt Family page on myfamily.com -current family might be registered with it. A son of Lydia and James Zumwalt married a Mary Simmons, I thought she might b kin to my husband but it turned out she isn't. CA. died April 26th 1985. California Death Index has mother's maiden name Taylor. this same index has James Ernest Yates b. July 9th 1949 in MO died Feb. 10th 1981 in Tulare Co mother's maiden name Ford. For copies their obituaries from the local paper contact the Tulare County Library - 200 W. Oak St. Visalia, CA 93291 (559) 733-6950. The city of Exeter also has a branch-(559) 592-5361. Exeter does have a paper but alot of people also place them in the Visalia Times Delta as Exeter is less than 30 miles from Visalia. Visalia is the county seat for Tulare Co.
