Thanks for your reply. As I mentioned in my original post...my Great Aunt Nita (Juanita) was married to Joseph Arent of Visalia. Aunt Nita died there in Visalia and is buried there also. I have her OBIT somewhere in my paper records, but as we have moved recently, my Genealogy is still packed. I would appreciate emailing you or your wife directly for any further info regarding her and her husband Joe. I hope you have pics, Marriage License, etc. for them? I know they managed a mobile home park in Visalia, which is interesting as that is what she and her previous husband, Walter did in Southern CA when I was little. Head is a William Moore, wife Jane, and 9 children. 4 born in Canada and the last 5 in CA. They were married when Jane as 18. he 21. Children listed -Minnie or Winnie, Corbett, Dray?, Fred b. Canada. Daughter Vada age 15 b. 1915 in CA, then Ruth, Margaret, Barbara and Stanley. The California Birth Index I find born in Humboldt Co. : Moore with nee Bragg: Moore (no firstname) Oct. 31, 1922 female (Margaret) Ruth L. Moore b. Sept 29, 1916 Stanley Eugene Moore b. Oct. 18, 1926 Barbara J. Moore b. July 11, 1924. Ruth Moore Reed was living in Porterville, Tulare Co. CA and is buried in Hillcrest Cemetery with her husand Forrest C. Reed. Tulare family history folks, I saw the post about the MOOREs. I am not related but I know of some MOOREs in Tulare County who came from Decatur County, Iowa. If any of you readers are related to the STOKES in Tulare County, Yancy B. STOKES came from Decatur Co., IA too. His 1st wife was Emmeline Elizabeth MOORE. (married 1846) I am a descendent of John James BENTLEY who came to the Visalia area. He had lived in Decatur Co., Iowa too. His sister-in-law was the 2nd wife of Yancy STOKES, a cattle rancher. Back then the farmers and the cattle ranchers in Tulare County led different lives and didn't get along sometimes. In the Decatur Co., Iowa mailing list like our Tulare Co. mailing list there are a few subscribers who are related to the MOOREs. As I remember there were several of the Decatur Moores who came to Tulare Co. In searching the California death records I find Jane Moore 07/06/1884 to 03/08/1964 with father's name Bragg and mothers maiden name Butler which matches as my Grandfather's Mother was Naiomi Butler from Cupids, Newfoundland. I have also found death records for Margaret Jeannette Hansen, Stanley Eugene Moore and Ruth Moore Reed as having Moore as father's name and Bragg as mother's maiden name. Is there anyone who has additional information on this family and especially if there are still living decendents. Thanks so much for any help
