He was born February 3rd, 1953 and died December 20th, 1987. There are a lot of questions of where and who he was with at the time of his death. The Tulare County Sheriffs ruled it a suicide. Just curious if anyone had spoken to or seen him around the time of his death. Looking to see what he was up to. Anonymous is fine I just want to know about him. I was only 11 years old when it happened. Thanks!

Tulare County charges $13.00 per copy http://www.cagenweb.com/cpl/tulare/tulvital.htm

Surnames: WALLACE Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/HY.2ADE/1596.1.1 Message Board Post: Hi Elvina, Thank you for the quick response. Your info on Louisa Wallace’s obituary fits very nicely with what I have been able to find. She is listed in the 1880 census but not in the 1900 census. I also found out about the Illinois Marriage Index through a posting by Catherine Brown. That’s how I assumed that David K Wallace had lived in Illinois during the 1860s. Thanks also for the info on where to purchase copy of obituary. I’m VERY new to this genealogy research and just learning the ropes. I did find out about Tulare County’s automated databases, but I’m just now learning how to access and use the information found. I did order a copy of the probate for David K Wallace. I hope it will confirm my guesses on his children and provide some information I can use to track him in Illinois or Virginia. It’s too bad other counties in CA haven’t digitized their vital statistics like Tulare County. But I guess it’s a matter of money and volunteers to do the hard work. George S Wallace is David k’s son. He also had two other sons, Clarence and David Earl. David Earl is my wife’s grandfather. David K also had five (5) daughters (I think); Clara Alice, Sarah C, Jessie I, Eva Louise, and Minnie Della. I’m hoping that the probate will verify my guesses. Thanks also for the tip on using information found in cemetery records. It should be very useful in validating other information I’ve been able to locate. If you can think of any other useful tips please let me know. I can use all the help I can find. Again, Thanks

The obituary appears in the Visalia Delta, July 10, 1890. This may be purchased through the Tulare City Library, Genealogy Dept. The contact there is Rosalie holamew@cvip.net When you email Rosalie, ask her to check for David's obituary also. I found the following WALLACE's buried near each other in the Porterville Cemetery, ages, year they died and the plot number. The names marked with an * indicates there is an obituary available. *Mrs. Louisa WALLACE, 44, 1890, B-62-1 David K WALLACE, 60, 1904, B-62-2 *Mary Lou WALLACE, 3, 1929, B-62-3 *Betty Jean WALLACE, 11, 1934, B-62-4 *George S. WALLACE, 52, 1941, B-62-5 Not sure if all are related except for Louisa and David, they were husband and wife. The children couldn't be David's because they were born after his death but George could have been their son who would have been born about 15 months before Louisa died. The children may have been David and Louisa's grandchildren and George was their father. There is a probated will for David K. Wallace in the Tulare Co. Courthouse. There are other Wallace's in the same cemetery. Go to the Tulare Co. GenWeb site http://www.cagenweb.com/cpl/tulare/ for more information. Marriage found at: http://www.cyberdriveillinois.com/departments/archives/marriage.html WALLACE, DAVID K BROWN, LOUISA 05/17/1866 MONTGOMERY COUNTY Good luck. Elvina
