I've "rescued" an old photograph of Maggie STUART of Como, Arkansas which was taken at the Alex Holmes Studio in St. Paul, MN. The photograph was probably taken in 1895 with Maggie appearing to be in her teens at the time. In addition to her name, someone has written the following message on the back of the photograph. "A good friend, Maggie STUART who lived on Como, AR. She went to Idlewild, California, I did not hear of her again. 1895" then "L.F., Aug 7 1956". Wondering if Maggie might have been attending school in St. Paul when the photograph was taken. I'm hoping to locate someone from Maggie's family so that this wonderful old photograph can be returned to the care of family. I would appreciate any information in regards to Larry D. Thomas and family. I have hit a dead wall. This is what I have got so far. Larry Dean Thomas b. 8-31-1946 in Oaklahoma. Son of Lloyd Wade Thomas b. 1-28-1906 in Kansas d.8-31-1970, Amy Lee Thomas (Powell) b. 5-27-1910 in Kansas (possibly Richfield, in Morton County), d. 10-10-1991. Both buried in Tulare. In the city cemetary. I don't know if they had any other children besides Larry, but would love to find out. Maybe the obituary from either could give me that answer. They would be my aunts/uncles. I can trace Lloyds' lineage back to his grandparents on both sides. Nothing on Amy yet. Lloyd was one of six siblings all deceased but one. I'm trying to contact him now. I know Larry attended Tulare Western High School and graduated in 1966. Possibly attended C.O.S. for a year. Marriage license to my mother says 13 years completed. I have heard stories that there was a hunting accident sometime between 1966-1972 and Larry lost a leg. Don't know if this is true. My mothers maiden name was Clara Anne Martin b. 10-8-52. She pasted away in 2002. She was 17 at the time of thier marriage and he was 23. He is listed as an machine operator working in a pretzel factory. It was the 1st marriage for both of them. They were married on 2-7-1970 in Whittier, Ca by Rev. Alfred S. Hovey. Conviently I waited till 2-11-1970 to make my appearance. I don't believe there marriage lasted long. I know at one time they lived in my grandmothers rental house on Mariposa in Tulare, and in a house on North H St. in Tulare. I have been told that I fell from a 2nd story window in the H St. house. This is where all information regarding Larry ends. All I ha! ve are a couple of pictures. I was raised by my great grandmother Maggie Quillin, and until her passing in 1997 I didn't dare search for my father, she would have had a fit. Now all who would have protest have pasted away. Please anybody with any information at all please contact me. I can't express how much it would mean.
