Greenville, Montcalm Co, Michigan abt 1869 to Reuben Nash SHERWOOD and Ruth CALKINS. Reuben is known to have migrated to California about the middle 1870's and to have died at Corning, Tehama Co, California abt 1897. Reuben and Ruth were married in Pontiac, Oakland Co, Michigan, Nov 6, 1959. Burgess had one full brother, Elmer and two half brothers, Lucius J and Clyde W.
