Margaret and J.S.B. Polsley were my great-grandparents on my mother's side. I have been in touch with a couple of cousins - Gwen Lancaster Elliott (Rachel's daughter) and Tom Polsley (Robert's son). If you need info on the Polsleys and Beavers before Margaret and JSB, I have a lot. Have you seen the book Genealogy of the Balzli-Balsley-Polsley Family by Katherine Polsley Bryan? I also have a little book on the Beavers, author unknown. Where do you fit in? My line is : Margaret + JSB Polsley > Clare Polsley + William James Harrison > Margaret Clare Harrison + Robert William Graham > Lorrell Jeanne Graham + Alfred H. Louchard. Do you by any chance have obituaries for any of the Polsleys? And do you know for sure if JSB died of diphtheria (I know his daughter Blanc died of it a few days before her father, so I assume that was his cause of death also, but don't know for sure.) Have you any account of the journey west to California? I have a copy of an account of the first part of the journey, but the remainder is missing. My interest in the Polsleys at this point is family history rather than data (I've got a lot of that), so if you have anything of that sort to share I would really appreciate it.
