With a death date you could order his death certificate to find the location of his burial. Someone might be able to find an obituary for you with a location and date. My greatgrandfather Theodore Baker married Clara Foreman in the Presbyterian Church in Red Bluff on Sept. 11, 1878. Witnesses were Henry and Bertha Miller. I am pretty sure he had relatives in the area. Anyone have access to census records for Tehama County for 1860, 70 and 80 or know anything about Bakers in the area around that time? Andrew NORRIS arrived in Tehama Co in the mid 1800s. Andrew bought his first land near Lyonsville.....abt 40 miles east of Red Bluff. Andrew and his wife, Frances Downen, proceded to raise their children in the area of Lyonsville and about 1907, they moved to the area of Manton, just a few miles east of Red Bluff. After the Civil War, William T. stayed in Arkansas; George moved to Texas by 1870 and Indian Territory by 1892. One brother moved to Colorado and planted orchards on his property. Have photos of the California brother's family, but do not have his name. His children's names could be Lula (living on Rutherford Ave., Oakland before 1928), Art or Otto in L.A. before 1928, others could be Ernest, Tom (cattle rancher), and Jim (2 marriages, daughter Grace moved to Sacramento before 1928). Looking for any information on the family of Martin and Minnie Roush of Corning, CA. My father is one of their grandchildren. They raised him until he was five years old. He has no idea why he was left with his grandparents for those years. He never had a close relationship with his mother, and she wouldn't share any information with him.
