Dear Ann, I believe Anna Eliza Clarica was the daughter of John Yoder, Jr. and Sally Whitener. There are many mistakes in the Zion baptismal transcripts published in "Catawba Cousins", undoubtedly due to the difficulty in reading the German script. I can see how it would be possible to misread Sally as Polly. For example, my great great grandfather, Levi Franklin Yount, was transcribed as Luther Franklin. In one other instance, George Whisenhunt appears as George Whitener. According to Fred R. Yoder's "History of the Yoder Family in North Carolina, John Yoder, Jr. had a daughter Anna who married John Reep. Her birth date is not listed, but 7 Aug 1823 fits in nicely with her next older and next younger siblings, Daniel M. Yoder born 10 Apr 1822, and Levi Yoder born 29 Nov 1825.
