Agnes-- I have a Myrtle Hewitt b. 28 Jul 1893-13 May 1983 who m. a Morris, and Mamie b. April 1898, d/o Lewis Jerome Hewitt and Cora B. Yount. Hewitt/Huitt and Frances Ann Moose with the date of 30 Jan 1887. In the Catawba County Cemetery books there is a record of the deaths of these two people. The tombstone reading for Lewis says he died 25 Nov, 1890 which puzzles me because when I find Frances Ann Moose Hewitt/Huitt a widow with three children, Georgia b July 1891, which would be ok but there are also Myrtle b July 1895 and Mary b Nov 1896. I wonder if the gravestone reading is in error, and should perhaps read 1899? Does anyone have more information about this couple? Does anyone know what caused Lewis Hewitt/Huit's death?
