I would like to suggest a book that may be of interest to you. "Trade In Strangers" by Marianne S. Wokeck, is the story of the mass migration to North America from Germany and Ireland (includes many of our Scot-Irish who come to our area). I think you will find this book most interesting and full of information. The book was published by the Pennsylvania State University Press, and may be ordered through amazon.com for around twently one dollars. This book is a well documented source of information. It is not a genealogical book, but I have found it fascinating. It contains information found in Fogleman's "Hopeful Journeys", but disagrees with his findings in a few points. Anne
