    1. [Catawba-West] Warrior Fork
    2. I would very much appreciate it if someone who is familiar with the Burke Co., NC area could clarify the following. In the early Burke Co., NC land records, there are references to “Warrior Fork of uppermost creek of the three creeks” AND references to “Warrior Fork of Johns River”. According to current maps & gazetteers: “Warrior Fork (Catawba River) is formed in west central Burke County by the junction of Irish and Upper creeks and flows southeast into the Catawba River.” ....... Hence, this would appear to be the Warrior Fork "of uppermost creek of the three creeks". Johns River, lies east of this Warrior Fork and also flows southeast into the Catawba. There does not seem to be any connecting waterway. PUZZLE: Where would land described as on "Warrior Fork of Johns River" be located? Are there (were there) possibly TWO Warrior Forks??? Perhaps one in what is now Caldwell Co.??? My thanks ....... Kay
