Sandra Fender attempts to answer all, or at least most, of your Internet research questions and helps you research Surf the web to locate the information you need in a timely, efficient manner. She also provides Internet addresses that might help you meet and share information with others out there who are surfing the net for ancestors. Session I - Beginning Genealogy Monday, October 16th at 6:00pm Morganton Public Library Meeting Room Presented by: Betsy Pittman, Burke County Genealogy Society and Gale Benfield, North Carolina Room at the Morganton Public Library Interested in your family genealogy but just don't know where to begin? Betsy Pittman and Gale Benfield are ready, willing and able to show you how to get started researching your family history. They will discuss the use of genealogy forms, how to use various records to locate the information you need and where to locate important records. Come prepared with questions. Session II - Beginning Genealogy Monday, October 23rd at 6:00pm Meet at Burke County Courthouse Registrar of Deeds' Office Tour and Presentation Given by Libby Cooper, Registrar of Deeds, Burke County The second session of Beginning Genealogy will be a trip to the Burke County Courthouse. Libby Cooper will conduct a tour of the Registrar of Deeds' Office. She will also discuss the kinds of records to be found in the office and how to use those records to locate pertinent information.
