(Off my head) I don't think I've seen anything that has shown that Banks lost a leg in service. You are right...my sister and then later my younger sister joined DAR on his service record. . Did I tell you that my Banks is buried at Flint Hill Baptist Church, York Co., S.C.? This is only just across the line from Mecklenburg Co,.N.C. I'm glad, first, that you weren't hurt with the lightening strike and second that your computer wasn't ruined. Will be glad to work with you to solve the problem of the Meachams. Will try to go through the records tomorrow to see what we can find & where to go from here. Speaking of names....even the Bartlett that you show as the ninth child below. Your Bartlett m. and had family; my Banks' Bartlett d. as a child. Until then, Regards, Sarah Withers Keesee . ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, August 05, 2000 7:31 PM Subject: Re: [Catawba-West] Fwd: MEACHUM/MITCHUM and/or SMITH & WINFREE > Dear Sarah: > > Thank you very much for your e-mail of July 31st.
