Does anybody have any idea if there is a web site or how I would go about finding out what historical markers there are in Burke, Cleveland, Catawba, Lincoln, and Rutherford counites? Thanks in advance. Vicki Buff Quillin BUFF, SWOFFORD, HOYLE, WORTMAN, WORKMAN, SAIN
Vickie, I went to www.infoseek.com In the search engine I put in North Carolina, Burke County, Historical Markers It brought up many sites....some had nothing to do with it...some did....That is how I find most of what I am searching for. The NC Archives has a website which talks about the historical markers. There's also a link on this page to more information about ordering a pamphlet listing all the markers. http://www.ah.dcr.state.nc.us/sections/do/r/ Hope this helps.... Peace, Part of the Tree, Greg
