I checked out the 1800, 1810 and 1820 census for Jacob GARLAND who married Elizabeth BOLCH, daughter of Adam BOLCH: 1800, Lincoln County, page 876 Jacob GARLIN 1m<10, 1m-26/44, 1f26-44 1810, Lincoln County, page 351 Jacob GARLING 1M-10/15, 1m-26/44, 1f-26/44 1820 Lincoln County, page 392 Jacob GARLAND, 1m-16/26, 1m>45, 1f>45 Jacob is listed in agriculture. I don't find a GARLAND in 1840 in Lincoln or any of the surrounding counties. Does anyone know what happened to, apparently, the only son of this couple who was born 1795-1800?? Also, Jacob GARLAND and his wife were born between 1775 and 1784 based on the census. Based on the birthdate of a child, their birthdates are probably closer to 1775. In addition, Anna Christina, wife of Adam BOLCH is usually listed as being born near 1730, so her being near 45-50 at the time of Elizabeth's birth is not totally impossible. Any thoughts? Do I actually have "our" Elizabeth Bolick here?? Ida
