Ok - I've consumed my crow willingly.... please accept my apologies and I promise to look before I leap next time! Familysearch.com is an often overlooked resource and that is the first place I look when I try to help with the queries. That's not to say that I believe they always have accurate information, because I don't believe that at all. I have a policy of verifying whatever data I find online, but at least it sometimes get me pointed in a good direction. BTW - for any Starr researchers on this list, I'm trying to prove (or disprove) that Jacob Starr of Lincoln Co. is the same Jacob Starr of Guilford Co. I've found some very compelling evidence so far. If this can be proven, Jacob can be linked back at least 2 more more generations. If anyone is interested in my findings or has some input on the subject, please let me know.
