Does anyone know if the book "Lift High the Cross" a history of St. John's of Conover has been reissued and if so are copies available? I'll be in town late Friday afternoon and Saturday and would like to buy a copy. My ancestors Elias Bolick and his wife and many others are buried in the church cemetery. Thanks for the help. Cynthia Bolick Gilbert
You can call the church and they will tell you the price, etc. .828-464-4071. You won't regret this. Mark Smith, before his death, worked tirelessly on the book, and Robert Carpenter edited it after Mark's death.
