    3. I do not find the family in the 1850 census but I did find the marriage in the Lincoln County Marriage bond book. Barger, Jesse; Herman, Leah. Witness John Barger bond dated 30 July 1831 issued by clerk Henry Cline. The original would be available from the NC Archives in Raleigh, but they do not show parentage nor much of anything else aside from the details above. Perhaps you already know this but on the chance you do not, here you go. In 1850 they are not in Lincoln, Catawba (but there are a number of Barger families there), Alexander or Burke, which I have in book form. The on-line index does not show them anywhere in the state. We know they must be there but where is a mystery. Agnes C.
