    3. I searched Ancestry.com and they didn't show up until 1870 for Census Records in Collins, Tuscoloosa County, Alabama. There are 2 land records for Jesse in the late 1800's in Tuscoloosa if you want them. His dad was Simeon Barger and his mom was Christina Bolick/Bolch. I can go back a couple of generations in the Bolick's/Bolch's if you don't have them. I haven't tied Leah Harmon in. I think she's a daughter of Peter Harmon, the one down on Beale's Creek by the SC border, who's not part of my Herman's, but that's a guess. The early land records of Lincoln County mention him, and he is confused with Peter Herman, who is frequently misspelled as Peter Harmon. The Lyle's Creek Herman's were not related to the Beale's Creek Harmon's; they came from Forseyth County I think, again a guess. Please let me know if you need any additional info. r/Jon ----- Original Message ----- From: "Agnes" <agnesec@cableone.net> To: <CATAWBA-WEST-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, August 19, 2004 10:19 PM Subject: [CATAWBA-WEST] Re: CATAWBA-WEST-D Digest V04 #77 > I do not find the family in the 1850 census but I did find the marriage in > the Lincoln County Marriage bond book. > > Barger, Jesse; Herman, Leah.
