William and Susannah Icerd Deal? If so, who was the parents of Peter Deal who m Elizabeth Traffenstatt, d/o of Christian Treffenstatt Sr.? Hello Charles --- I don't have any record of this Fanny having married at all, but that may be because I have not looked for it, however, this is the Elizabeth Teffenstadt who married Peter Deal. Fanny seems to have been out of favor with her father, or he had already settled something on her that was considered sufficient. Again, I have not carried my research beyond this point. All I can tell you about Peter is that he was probably the son of one of the Williams, but no one has yet come up with any viable source for that information. William seems to be the parent of William b about 1740 (married Suzanne Ikard), Jacob b about 1743 (m Margaret), George b about 1744, John b about 1746 (m Mary). and Peter born about 1750. These siblings of Peter are speculation, and not my original research. I would like to offer the thought that if this is the same Fanny, and she was born in 1808, then she was plenty old enough to have been married in 1828. I have this will: January Sessions 1828, Lincoln Co, NC: I Peter Deal being of sound and perfect health do this the 9th day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty seven make this my last will and testament in the following words, that is to say, 1st all my property shall remain in the sole possession of my wife Elizabeth Deal so long as she may live to dispose of as need may be to support upon, 2nd, my son Simon Deal shall winter one cow and have all her increase 3rd, I bequeath that after the death of my wife Elizabeth all the property shall be equally distributed among my heirs except Fanny Deal who shall have for her part five shillings. 4th Should the Legatees disagree in the division of the property each one may choose a man for that purpose which decision shall be final. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and (seal) the day and year above written. Peter Deal (his mark) Witnesses Peter Hoke and Martin Ikerd. My note to myself: There must have been other heirs, need to search for the estate records. Agnes Cloninger
