I am researching the William G. MCARTHUR family of the Rutherford, NC area. William G. MCARTHUR was born in Nov. 3, 1818. He married Eliza Ellen MAGNESS who was born in 1819. The marriage was on NOV. 10, 1840 in Rutherford, N. C. The children of this family are Joseph Williamson Mcarthur, Benjamin Franklin Mcarthur, Sara Mcarthur, Jacob Magness Mcarthur, John Mcarthur, David Mcarthur, Eda Elizabeth Mcarthur and William Mcarthur (middle initial may be P or R ). Many members of the family moved to Independence, Arkansas and on to Texas. I am wondering if there is a family linked to this MCARTHUR-MAGNESS family still in the Rutherford area.
