Hello, I have been following the discussion of the Laban Hallman family. Daniel Hallman b. 1796, son of Anthony Hallman and Elizabeth Gingery/Gingerich, m. Sarah Cline 29 Nov 1818, and thus could be the father of Laban Hallman, b 20 Sep 1823. I have no documentation to prove this, however. This Daniel Hallman is the brother of my ancestor, Jacob Hallman. I have the 1860 census Caldwell Co., Lenoir twp. for L Hallman, wife Avey, children Robert (14), Noah (12), Sarah (10), Charles (4), and Mary (1). L. gives his age as 36 and Avey's as 35. I do not have the census records for intervening years, but the 1900 census for Hickory Township, Catawba Co., gives Laban Hallman b. Sep 1823, with wife Nancy E., b. Jul 1834. No children are listed. She has had 8 children, 7 living. It states that they have been married 28 years. That would place their marriage date as 1872. If anyone has census records for those 1870 and 1880, it would be helpful. Nancy (Hallman) Cason, Texas
