Hello Ann In partial answer to your puzzles: I have looked very carefully at the original 1880 census and that name is not Blarney but Bloomey which sounds exactly like Blumy, so if nobody spelled it for the census taker [who was W.P. Ivey] he probably wrote it like he heard it. The child is listed as a son age 5. There is also an Elias E.
