    3. Island Ford road, according to the old RA Yoder map (1886) ran from Lincoln County to the Catawba River. The portion if Island Ford road, near Maiden is probably the current US 321). St. Matthews church is about 1/2 mile into Lincoln. On your Daniel Hallmans, you state: "One was born c1796, and probably died before 1880." That would be the Hallman who married 1. Daniel HALLMAN. Daniel HALLMAN and Sally CLINE were married in 1818. Sally CLINE (daughter of Jacob CLINE and Catherine Elizabeth WILFONG) was born in Lincoln County, North Carolina. They had the following children: 2 i. Noah HALLMAN. +3 ii. Laban HALLMAN. 4 iii. Vardrie HALLMAN died in Civil war. 5 iv. Elkanah HALLMAN died in Civil war. +6 v. Ephraim HALLMAN. 7 vi. Calvin HALLMAN. 8 vii. Hosae HALLMAN died in South Carolina. 9 viii. Lizzie HALLMAN. The other Daniel Hallman: 1. Daniel HALLMAN was born on 19 Jan 1803. He died on 13 Jan 1891. He was buried in St. Matthew's United Methodist Church, Lincoln Co., NC. Will dated June 1888 and probated 20 Jan 1891, lists children by wife and also states to include illegitimate child of daughter Vilecta. [WB 4-450.] Daniel HALLMAN (son of Henry Hallman, Jr. and Rachel Warlick) and Mary LORETZ were married on 5 Feb 1824. Mary LORETZ was born on 5 Oct 1801. She died on 18 Nov 1842. Daniel HALLMAN and Mary LORETZ had the following children: +2 i. Laban HALLMAN (born on 20 Sep 1823). +3 ii. Elenora HALLMAN (born in 1824). +4 iii. Elmira HALLMAN (born about 1828). +5 iv. Andrew HALLMAN. +6 v. Abel HALLMAN (born on 10 Feb 1832). +7 vi. Fylector HALLMAN (born on 24 Jun 1834). +8 vii. Michael HALLMAN. +9 viii. Mary Catharine HALLMAN (born about 1838). +10 ix. Martha Emeline HALLMAN (born about 1842). Daniel HALLMAN and Sarah "Sally" (_unk_) were married. They had the following children: +11 i. Margaret HALLMAN (born on 6 Jun 1847). +12 ii. Frances HALLMAN (born in 1849).
