Can someone help Alta M. Durden? I am not familiar with the book by Neal Caskey "Reynolds of Indian Creek". Linda B. Hoyle From: AltaMDurden@aol.com To: lbarkley@charter.net Cc: Wmosley61@wmconnect.com Sent: Saturday, October 18, 2003 10:00 PM Subject: Reynolds of Indian Creek Dear Linda: Please help me find a copy of a book published by Neal Caskey. It is entitled, "Reynolds of Indian Creek", but is not in either the Gaston or Lincoln County Libraries. I have spoken with Mr. Graham at the Lincoln County Library about this (in the not too distant past) and he could not locate a copy for me. I know it exists because I had one at one time (but do not have it now). Mr. Caskey died not too long ago and it seems his widow does not have any copies of the book that are for sale. Do you suppose anyone that you know who is associated with getting the second volume of the Lincoln County Heritage book together could find a copy for us? Or if his publishing company might still have a copy to sell? I don't know the name of his publishing company (which I understand is no longer in business now that Mr. Caskey is dead). That may or may not be correct. Maybe someone in the local genealogical society might help find one. Please forward this request to the Lincoln! County webpage and someone on there might have a copy they'd be willing to sell. Thank you. Alta Mitchem Durden
Linda, Neal Caskey, as you noted, is deceased. His wife, Willene, survives him. I'm sure she continues to maitain a supply of Neal's publications and would probably like the opportunity to contact folks whose lives were touched by Neal. The last accounting I have is a message from the web that is nearly three years old. Nevertheless, it contains his wife's address and some of the publications he had for sale. From ostrich@b...
