    3. Hi, Need input on what happened to Lillie E. Hallman, age 10, that is listed in the household of Noah W. Hallman and wife Jane, who m. 7 Apr 1870, Household #66 Family #77 at 1880 Catawba Co., NC Census, p. 28. I have a feeling that she might not be their natural child. According to "Catawba Co, NC Bastardy Bonds and Records, 1868-1911..." compiled by Anne W. McAllister & Priscilla Hintze on p. 135 in year 1871 Adolphus M[onroe] Punch and Mary J. Hallman are listed. I have a Mary Jane Hallman d/o Henry M. and Anna B. Hallman, b. in 1852 who later m. James Monroe Miller in 1874. This Mary Jane Hallman died in 1879. James Monroe Miller married Mary Jane's sister, Jemima Catherine Hallman in Feb. 1880. However, Lillie is NOT in that household in 1880. Question-where was Mary Jane's and James Monroe's son, Blumy W. Miller in 1880? Is he the Blorney W. Miller, age 5, listed on page 80 in 1880 Catawba Co. census in James M. and Catherine, along with a brother of James Monroe, Elias E. "Eli" Miller? Also, I want to keep my Laban Hallmans straight. I have Laban Hallman, s/o of Daniel Hallman & Sallie Cline, b. 20 Sep 1823 m. Ava M. (unk.) who died 1869. Is this the Laban Hallman who m. Nancy Evoline Pitts between 1870-1880? I also have a Laban Hallman s/o of Daniel Hallman & Mary "Polly" Lontz, b. 1823. Where have I messed up or, are there really two of them? Ann Propst, Brevard, NC
