Our Kin states that Elizabeth Roper went west - place not learned, nor her descendants. Actually, she is buried at Old Pisgah ARP Church in Gaston Co., NC with the tombstone: Elizabeth Roper Died July 25, 1842 Aged 24 years, 23 days. No doubt this was a death of a young mother. It's likely her widower did move west. Does anyone know the parents of this John Roper, his dates, the date of marriage of John and Elizabeth, and/or his later place of residence?
