    1. [Catawba-West] Maj. George WILFONG Ancestors?
    2. Gene Rooks
    3. As I continue preparing my mother's family heritage album, I keep running into unanswered questions on the ancestors of some of our Catawba area pioneers. Maj. George WILFONG 1740/1818 is one of them. Is he a member of the family that emigrated in 1734 on the St. Andrew, and since I don't have the originial citation, I've seen it given that the emigrant father was Johannes married to Elizabeth, by one account, with sons Johannes Jr., George Michael, and Sebastian, who later had our George, Jacob, and Nicholas, and by another account the emigrant father was George Michael and wife Elizabeth, with son Johannes, who was the father of our George, Jacob, and another son Nicholas. Can anyone tell me what Pennsylvania resource books mention this family? I've also been in communication with another WILDFONG researcher seeking connections with a George WILDFONG married to a Miss MILLER who had a son Michael in 1784, and wound up in Canada around 1800, having first gone to North Carolina>Indiana first. They also are looking at the same St. Andrews emigrants as ancestors. Always seeking ROOKS & BALLENTINE
