I posed this question: <From the 1850 census of Catawba Co., NC, family 899: John BOLCH 63, Christina 62, Christina 31, Sarah 31, William 9. Is this John the son of Sebastian? Are Christina and Sarah twins or is one a daughter-in-law?> I think I have an answer: Absolom BOLCH was the son of John BOLCH. Absolom died about 1842. He was married to a Sarah. They had a son William. Sarah and William are living with John in the 1850 census. So now I have to change the question: Was Sarah a MILLER before their marriage? In the Fall term 1843 Ephraim MILLER was appointed guardian of William (with David MILLER as security). In Oct 1850 (Catawba Court) Daniel MILLER became the guardian. I have seen Absolom listed as a son of Adam BOLCH, Jr. (b1755). That is an error. He was a son of John and (I think) grandson of Sebastian. The Lincoln Co. estate settlement papers for Absolom BOLICK 1842 names his widow --it looked like "Saloh" but was very unreadable ( I did not get a copy). David MILLER was named administrator. These folks came to the estate sale: Hiram BOLICK, Casper BOLICK, John BOLICK, David BOLCH, Sebastian BOLCH, Andrew BOLCH, Ambrose MILLER, William TURNER Any comments? Thanks for reading these and for comparing these to your data. I apologize for these tedious questions, but I want to sort out the children of Adam BOLCH, Jr. (b1755) Ida Deal
