Nancy, Webster was the county seat of Jackson County from the formation of the county in 1851 until 1913 when the county seat was moved 2 miles north to Sylva. Sounds to me like that would work. However, Jackson County is about 100 miles west northwest of Rutherford County. Jim -- James E. Has any one heard of a town called Websford or Webb's Ford, NC, in the Lincoln/Cleveland/Rutherford county area? On my gggg-uncle's Civil War papers, he lists home as Websford,NC, in Rutherford Co. His family (parents and siblings) lived in the Henry/Vale area of Lincoln Co., he was with them in the 1860 census at age 17, and he and his wife ended up in Shelby area by 1870. Any clues appreciated! Lynn Wesson Raleigh, NC

CORNELIUS AUGUSTUS CONNOR (1764-1846)and wife DELILAH (1777-1869)are buried in Catawba Co., but they were supposed to have been born in Prince Georges Co., MD. Does anyone have information on the children of this couple other than Henry W.; Electious, called Lee; Lewi; Columbus; Jane Harriet and Eliza, or even on these ones, for that matter. Would appeciate help with this non-German family if possible. Agnes E. Cloninger
Does anyone on the list have access to any publication that might possibly give information on Concord Methodist Cemetery? I'm trying to find birth/death dates on B.F. Gilleland and M.E. Gilleland. Thanks to all. Sherry
