    3. Dear folks, The advent of FREE GENEALOGICAL INFORMATION is a reality. The only way it can grow is through the contributions of folks like you. If you have any transcribed material that does not run afoul of copyright laws, we'd love to have it. If it falls under the categories of DEEDS, WILLS, MILITARY PENSIONS, BIBLE RECORDS, OBITUARIES or BIOGRAPHIES, please consider posting it at the following site: http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/nc/ncarch.htm Help others with otherwise unobtainable material. 1. [Catawba-West] ORR Family
    2. nancy erb
    3. I've been studying the Catawba West county formations and came across the 1784 formation of the line between Burke and Lincoln Counties that reads: "....Beginning at the Horse Ford on Catawba river. running thence to John Hawn's on Henry River, then to William Orr's on Jacobs River and thence to the intersection of the counties of Burke, Lincoln and Rutherford, as they now stand." Would anyone on the list know, would this put William Orr in Burke or Lincoln County? or, how could I determine this? However, I do see in 1790 Lincoln Co NC on the Federal Census William, Robert and Jno ORR. This may indicate that William was in Lincoln Co after the 1784 boundary change. Unfortunately I am missing the Burke Co 1790 Census Also, I am interested to know more about William Orr and would like to ask what records are available for this period of about 1784 and where would they be located? Is anyone on this list researching this William Orr? My known ancestor is Alexander ORR, born about 1750-1755 and believe to be found in Rutherford County on the 1782 Tax List ( still working on this), and certainly later in 1790 and 1800 on the Pendleton District SC Federal Census, before moving in 1800 to Christian Co KY. Alexander Orr's oldest known son is named William and this family seemed to adhere closely to the naming traditions for the Scotch-Irish of the time. So, you can see my interest in William as a possible candidate for Alexander's father or other relative due to proximity and names. Many Thanks, Nancy Orr Erb St Clair County, Michigan

It also gives you a chance to pre-register for the event. We have really had some wonderful times at previous reunions and have met Cline cousins from other families that are descended from our common partiarch, Sebastian CLINE (ca 1712-ca 1792). I can't tell you what a memorable experience each reunion has been for us. You may have thought that it was too late to make a reservation for this reunion because you have waited until now. BUT----IT'S NOT TOO LATE ! Our planning committee is eager to register more guests for the event--we are planning on three hundred folks--or more!. BUT----You must contact us as soon as possible. Don't delay any longer. This is an experience you will remember for the rest of your life. If this will be your first Cline reunion, you will meet friends that will truly touch your life. We have a wonderful family of diverse folks, not so many as will make this reunion crowded. Just a wonderful bunch of folks that really know how to express and accept friendship. So, if you haven't made plans for late June, we invite you come to the beautiful Catawba Valley in Hickory, North Carolina, the heartland of Sebastian's descendants, and enjoy yourself as never before.
