I spoke to Noreen Haler today and she told me that she understood from George Sanborn that he had presumed the the Taunton Caswells came from Somerset because of the same name Taunton in MA & Somerset. There was a group of Caswells in North Curry Som. at this time.<< Thanks for your critical comments on the above matter. It also reminded me that last summer, I tried to connect with George Sanborn, because the "Mayflower Descendant" is so backlogged in their publications that his work on these CASWELLs is still not completely published and to share with him information on our particular branch. He is supposed to have a mail drop still at the NEHGS, where I sent my letter. It is my understanding that he is now retired, but I did not even get an acknowledgement! Does anyone have a way of establishing a connection with him?? Apparently his daughter is publishing genealogical matters and I was considering trying to contact him through her.
