    3. I'm not following this line personally, so I've forwarded your email to the listserver. Hopefully someone else may be able to help you. I have just downloaded all the Caswells for London UK from the IGI & BVRs and Richard Caswell & his wife Slaney are on there. This included their marriage date. -----Original Message----- From: Ronald Hoffman <shoffman@monumental.com> To: mike@moonrakers.com <mike@moonrakers.com> Date: Saturday, February 13, 1999 2:07 AM Subject: CASWELL and the DUKE OF MARLBOROUGH Hi Mike, I have a question for you, I just received some information concerning the DALLAM and SMITH families of Joppa, Baltimore, Maryland that is linked to Governor Richard Caswell of North Carolina (my 5th ggrandfather) , and I would like to know if you have any further information or can find some? William Smith was Richard Caswell (Sr) uncle, his sister being Richard's mother. William's mother was married to the "brother of the Duke of Marlborough", this would have been in the late 1600s to the early 1700s. William came to Joppa, Maryland in 1712, along with his nephew, Richard Caswell. Their, William married the Widow of Richard Dallam, Elizabeth Martin Dallam. Richard's first wife would be her daughter who was about 8 at this time, Christian Dallam. What I would like to know is, who was this Duke of Marlborough and who was his brother and where did they live? This may help me discover more about my heritage. I know it goes back to Richard Slan(e)y Caswell, but I think this Duke reference may help me more. Thank you for any assistance or guidance you can give.
