This is probably germane to the subject but ..... have eyed Johnathan Caswell who d. 1755 in upstate New York suspiciously - he was a drummer and so was my Elijah Caswell of Middleboro/Kingston/Plymouth b. 1751. He served in the Rev War. I believe Johnathan served in the French and Indian. Also looking for a Caswell relation that ties into the Lawson family in any capacity.
