Hello, Could SKS please assist me and do a lookup to determine if they could identify my great grandfather coming to NYC during the period 1882-1886. He could have gone by one of two names in the old country (Poland) or his new name used in the USA. Gedalia Szaja GLUCHOWICZ Born Oct. 7th , 1858 (Polish spelling) Gdalia Moszkowicz Herszkowicz GLUCHOWICZ( Polish spelling) same birth date Yeheshua Gedalia GLUCHOVICH (Russian spelling) same date of birth Charles GOLDSTEIN (name in USA) Likely came with wife Etka (Etta) Goldstein born April 15, 1858 (nee STOLARCYZK) and children Fannie (Fejga) and Meyer (Mejer) Goldstein both babies at the time. Eric Wickberg Researching GLUCHOWICZ, STOLARCYZK, WICKBERG, DANDRIDGE, YOUNG, ORR, MATCHAM,
I checked the Germans to America 1875 thru 1888 CD and got no hits on the old country variants of your ancestors surnames. There are many Goldstein's listed, but the only given name matches I retrieved were too far off in ages. I wish I could have been of some help. Sorry.
