My 2nd GrGrandfather James Keats b.August 23, 1819 Wiltshire, England U.K. Arrived in U.S. July 1848 and was Naturalized June 9, 1860 Trumbull Co, OH - This taken from his Naturalization papers. I cannot find any Declaration of Intent. It seems that he would have arrived thru the wharfs of Manhattan if immigrant arrivals Before August 1855 came thru wharfs of Manhattan. Any info on ships arriving in U.S. July 1848 or passenger list with his name ? He would have been 29 or 30. Did anyone come with him ? I would like to be able to trace his family and Ancestors back to Wiltshire. Thanks for any help. Bob Wallace in IL
