Balch Manifest ID Number: 00007624 Port of Embarkation: Marseilles Mode of Travel: Steerage I looked at the records of several other passengers aboard the ship. It seems that all of them were "returning to country of origin". Perhaps the ship passengers were suffering from some dreadful fever or plague. Sometimes the CD transcription notes that a passenger died on board. No record of such was noted for these individuals. Due to the poor job done transcribing the above records, it would be best for you to order the ship transcripts to verify your information. I was unable to locate Emanuel FRIEDRICH on the Germans to America 1875-1888 CD. Sorry.
