This a long shot for me for I have hit a brick wall as to when my ancestors came to America from UK My Gfather --George Scales in his nat. papers, states he came to the US on May 1886 from Barnsley England[Yorkshire Co.]. I've checked alot on that date but to no avail. In checking the US census for 1900 1910, I find that my father states he came here in 1887-- this a comment my sister remembers dad saying, that he remembered going fishing from the boat on his 10 b'day--- which is 24 Nov 1877. Then I find in the same census that his sister[my aunt] who is 4 yrs older than my father,states she came in 1888. If you could check for me.
