Hello, I'm kind of taking a stab in the dark here, looking for August Balitz/Belitz/ Baylitz, born 1823 in Germany and his wife Mary (nee Bauer) Balitz born 1837 in Germany. I don't know if they came together as husband & wife, or if she came separately with her parents, August & Mary Bauer, and married when she got here. I know their first child was born in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1860. A grateful THANK YOU! to anyone who has the "Germans to America" CD's and can do a lookup in the index. Marilyn in Ohio

Hi Marilyn, I checked all spelling variants on Germans to America 1850-1874 and Germans to America 1875-1888 CDs. The only surname I got hits on was Belitz. I found one August, but he was over 10 years off in age. Sorry I couldn't have been more help.
