Molly, You mention the info on his naturalization papers but you also state you're pretty much just using online sources. Have you obtained hard copies of his naturalization papers(and from where), or have you just viewed online info? Hi Diane, Yes,I have the hard copies.I emailed nara with the little info of birth place and yr and they had sent me a few index cards of various John Moodys.I picked the closest match and they sent me the documents.This was the right man because his witness was Michael Ryan who was his brother-in-law.Unfortunately it is 2 yrs before 1907 when the rest of info was added. It doesn't even mention coming from Canada,all it has is that he is a citizen of England. For the few times I have been able to get to a FHC or library,I would copy as much info as humanly possible in a couple hours and then send for certs etc.with what I was able to reap at that visit. Right now I am trying to collect as much info as I can,so when school lets out,I will be able to order films thru inter library loan,and my daughter will go to the libraries story room.
