Some time ago a Castle Gardens lister looked up the Thingavalla for me and found it arriving in New York only in the spring of 1882. Then there was a list of ships that was posted which arrived in New York for that period and it also showed the Thingavalla arriving only in the spring. There was some recent information on the Norway List which showed the Thingavalla arriving in the summer and fall (see below). My great grandparents would have arrived in the fall.
