My GGparents both came from Germany, I believe in the mid 1800's. His name, according to his oldest daughter was Karl Johan Dickhoff originally and he was probably born about 1835 in Prussia. I have found him in some New York City Directories as John Dickhoff. Her name was Anna Margaret Beimler and she was born 25 Mar 1855 in Bavaria. Based on my Grandmothers date of birth, they were probably married in 1874 or 1875 in New York. Do either of these names show up in your CD's. Thanks for your help. Pat C
