Learning more of Ellis Island and Castle Garden (especially dates and ship records), I have never been able to locate any information on ships arriving in New York from Germany around August, 1851. No real information was in the German to America book listing immigrants. Still looking for Wilhelm E. F. Heller and his brother, Frederick Michael Heller. At the top , Ships name,Captains name , Port and date of departure , Port and date of arrival. In the list itself ; Cabin passengers are usually listed first. Then "Steerage" passenger. Individuals name , Age , sex , occupation , land of origin , Nationality , Destination (usually only the country is entered , but at times more detail was giving) Ofcourse variations between lists exist , as does accuracy of entered data.
