Linda from Pa: Thank you for anyhellp you can give me. I found out that my grandfather came to US as Friedrick Rothfuss. He lived in Newark, N. J. and married Karoline Dorothea(or Dorothea Karoline, who was called Dora) in 1890. She came from Germany with her siblings and parents, Jacob Friedrick Sieb and Marie Magdelena Sieb in 1883 or 1887. That's all I know about them.
Thank you, Sandra, for the info on Friedrich Rothfuss. Can you tell me if he came over with any other family members? Sorry I didn't include this in my original e-mail.
Hi Rose, Sorry I didn't include the answer to your question in my original response. No other Rothfuss on board the ship. I also ran a check for your SIEB surname (plus Siebe, Seib and Seibe) and did not find them on disk. Have you tried these two sites? They both have search engines set up to search online free passenger lists. If one doesn't have what you want, the other probably will. http://www.searchforancestors.com/records/passenger.html and http://olivetreegenealogy.com/ships/search_ships.shtml From these two search engines you can search almost ALL online passenger lists to USA. Also, http://www.searchforancestors.com/quicksearch/index.html is a genealogy surname specific search engine. It searches genealogy databases and genealogy WebPages and may help you find some places you haven't tried.
