I have seen a search to the Border Crossing from Canada to the US. Is there someone I can look up for you?     3. Carol, My Johann Heinrich Thiele is the one who came to Pennsylvania. He lived in Allegheny County and married Sophia Kestner. I think I know most of his life after he married and had kids. What I have never been able to find out is where he came from (other than JUST Germany), and if he came with anyone. Thank you for your interest in helping me! I saw the same information you did and then I looked in the census's and there are a couple of Heinrich Thiele's that could have been this person you found assuming your Heinrich was also born in 1849. One stayed in New York, the other went to Pennsylvania. One had a family, so if you know if he married and had children and you know some of their names, the census could help you in identifying him. The thing is, What do you actually know about him? Look at that information that you have and then maybe we can figure out where to search.     3. Hello, I am searching for immigration records for : Martin Pluto Birth abt 1847, Germany Immigration about 1870 according to 1910 census for wife. He emigrated with Spouse:Anna Birth:Aug 1852, Prussia, Germany Dau-Ophelia (Tofila) Pluto Bd looks like 1868 (1865) on marriage license. Born in Germany She is 9 YO in 1880 census Dau- Mary Pluto Magdalena (Mary Magdalene, Madeline) Gives 1871 as birth year on marriage record, born in Germany She is 7 in 1880 census The family settled in Naticoke, Luzerne, Pennsylvania Some documents have their next dau Anna born 13 Sep 1875 in Connecticut. A search in CT found nothing. Martin died between 1894-1900. He had a brother Anthony. In 1880 Anthony is living in Newport Twp .PA with brother Martin and his family and 4 children Anthony age 32. Martin is 33. In 1900 Anthony is living at Prospect Hill . PA with widowed sister-in- law, Anna Pluto . I haven't found his immigration information either. I am hoping someone can help me and lead me down a productive path. Thank you. Judy

These are not noted as such so it can be a bit confusing Secondly, to solve the question of what does the "S" stand for, I'd find the manifest (passenger list) image on Ancestry and look to see exactly what shows on the image.
