On the 1850 census for Rutland, Jefferson, New York this family is listed as follows: Alim (Alvin) 47 born NY Lucinda 45 born CT Lyman 20 born NY Adeline 19 born NY Mary 14 born NY Sarah 12 born NY James 9 born NY Alvin first appears on the 1830 census in Florence, Oneida county, NY near Charles Castle and the two continued to live near each other until Alvin passed away in 1873. Thanks for telling me where Alvin is buried. I am reasearching this line for a lifelong friend who is a descendant of Lyman Castle son of Alvin and Lucinda.
