In the 1910 census John was referred as Jonathan Castle, age 2, so John must be a shortened version of his name or it could be a mistake by the census enumerator. George Harry Castle and Stella Puner Compton were married on 2 May 1900, at the Thomas Compton residence in lawrence Co. KY per Lawrence Co. marriage record: Vol. 14, page 347 or 422. In reference to the Asbury Castle, son of Levi Castle, that was posted to this query, I kind of doubt that Asbury was from the Castle family of Kentucky, who were moslty descended from the Kasel family of Germany.
