In answer To Karen from Columbus, Ohio, in regards to David C. Castle and Margaret Moore. David C. Castle was the son of Benjamin Castle and Amanda [Mandy] Foshu. Benjamin is from the line of Jacob Castle and Sowegee, Shawnee Indian. That is the only Indian connection that I can find, although there may be some on the Moore side. Karen can contact me at _dlmeenach@aol.com_ (mailto:dlmeenach@aol.com) for more info on this family. Don M. This list is adoptable. My query is this: Does anyone have anything about a David CASTLE born 12/02/1867 in Lawrence Co., KY? He married Margaret Ida "Maggie" MOORE born 12/02/1869 in Lawrence Co., KY, too. They married 11/26/1885 in Lawrence Co., KY as well. "Maggie's" father was David MOORE, JR. (1824 - 1910) aand her mother was Lucinda BALL (1827 - 1897) both of Lawrence Co., KY. My husband says that his family often spoke of their Indian ancestry, but he doesn't remember which nation. He also states there was a book with a photo of one of his descendents which was supposedly an Indian Chief when he was about 10 years old. He doesn't remember a name or anything that could possibly be a clue. He also told me his grandmother told him of Germany beginnings. I have researching this family for YEARS without much past what I already know from David & Maggie forward to date. The other surnames also included are: BALL/BREEDING/TUNNELL/BRASHEAR If anyone can/could assist me in my endeavors I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you in advance!
