I wanted to hit both boards so I looked you up on this one. Now, having looked at your past postings, I see that you have had an interest in the Hoskins and even the Richey sisters who married Andrew Wharton, another of Robert and Sarah's sons. Samuel Watson Wharton b: about 1782 in Washington Co., PA, to Robert and Sarah Farley Wharton. Samuel m: Elizabeth Castle. I show Samuel with 4 sons Jacob, Robert, Isaac and Samuel. I am told there were probably 3 other children. I have Samuel d: 1823. Samuel had a sister Susan/Susannah b: abt 1790 who m: a John Castle. They were in the 1830, 1840 and 1850 Guernsey Co., OH, census. John apparently died between 1850 and 60. I found a 2005 message board post by you, subj: Re: castle from iowa , in which you said "Looking for Elizabeth Castle who married Samuel Wharton who had a daughter Susannah born about 180 (sic) probably in York Co., PA." That is a long way from Washington Co., and practically all of Samuel's siblings went into Ohio and some further west. There is a Susannah Wharton b: abt 1804 who m: Ira Hoskins in Morgan Co., OH. They lived in Muskingum Co., OH until Ira's death after 1860. The 1870 census finds Susannah living with her daughter in Athens Co., OH. Also living with them then was an Isaac Wharton. Several of Robert Wharton's offspring lived in a connected 4 county area in OH that included Noble, Morgan Muskingum and Guernsey Counties. That is where Susannah Hoskins and Isaac Wharton lived. I'm sure they were brother and sister. Do you think this is your Elizabeth? Might she have had a brother John?
