William's father was Gideon and Gideon was a veteran of the Rev. War. The Herricks and Castle's were previous residents of Amenia Duchess Co. NY. Gideon had a daughter Mary and William had a daughter Polly, I believe. I have done a lot of research on these two families and am happy to share what I have.
